Text Box: A Scoop Above was the vision of Lois Henderson and her family and became a reality in August of 2008 after much research and planning. A Scoop Above is a great addition to the families already existing shops, The Gingerbread House, in existence since 1987, and famous for their home made fudge, and Gumdrops and children’s boutique specializing in quality children cloths, shoes, & toys. What makes A Scoop Above unique is it was designed to be a place where families, friends and small groups could come and enjoy hanging out. Unlike most Ice Cream Shops with limited seating, A Scoop Above takes your order at your table and serves you in attractive glass ware and silverware. Your children or grand children will enjoy the kid’s room and our overhead train. We make fresh Gelato (juh-LAH-toh), Italian Ice Cream daily. If you haven’t tried it yet, you owe it to yourself!
